These terms are an agreement between you and HangarIQ ("HangarIQ", "we", "us") for your use of hangar-iq.com and the HangarIQ app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
HangarIQ uses artificial intelligence to read photos of aircraft logbook pages into a table of entries, produces PDFs of those entries, and answers questions about them. We may change, add or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
You need a Google account to sign in, and you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding contract. You're responsible for activity under your account, and for keeping access to your Google account secure. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
3. Fees and billing
- Upload fee. $2.00 for each new logbook you upload. Adding pages to an existing logbook has no upload fee.
- Processing cost. Reading pages and answering questions are charged by the processing tokens used, at the per-token rates shown in the app, which follow Google's published prices for the model we use. Every charge, with its token count, is listed on your Billing page.
- Monthly billing. At the start of each month we total the previous month's charges and charge the card on file. Totals under $0.50 carry over to the next month. You must add a card before your first upload, and you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge it for your usage.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may pause new uploads and questions until the balance is paid. You can still view your logbooks.
- Refunds. Charges are for work already done and aren't refundable, except where required by law or if we billed you in error. Contact us within 60 days of a charge you believe is wrong.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future usage. We'll post new prices in the app and give you notice of increases before they apply. Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which you're responsible for.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, entries, questions and other content you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You give HangarIQ a limited license to store, process, copy and display Your Content, and to send it to our service providers, only as needed to run the Service for you. You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or the law.
5. Not a substitute for your records or a mechanic
AI can misread handwriting, miss entries or give wrong answers. The entries, PDFs and answers HangarIQ produces are a convenience copy to help you find information. They are not official maintenance records and are not a records review, inspection, or airworthiness determination.
- Keep your original logbooks; aircraft owners and operators remain responsible for their maintenance records.
- Don't rely on the Service alone for decisions about airworthiness, airworthiness directive compliance, inspections, the safety of flight, or the purchase or sale of an aircraft. Verify against the original records and with a qualified, certificated mechanic or inspector.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you don't have the right to use, or that is unlawful;
- use the Service to create false or altered maintenance records;
- try to get around billing, usage limits or security, or access other users' data;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or scrape or reverse engineer it except as the law allows;
- resell the Service or let others use your account.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google (sign-in and AI), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. We're not responsible for their availability or actions.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@hangar-iq.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, that have unpaid balances, or where needed to protect the Service or others. Charges incurred before termination remain due. Sections 3 (for amounts owed), 4, 5 and 9 to 12 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANGARIQ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ENTRIES OR ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANGARIQ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY DAMAGE ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON ENTRIES OR ANSWERS PRODUCED BY THE SERVICE. HANGARIQ'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR US $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify HangarIQ against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and HangarIQ consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are the entire agreement between you and HangarIQ about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term isn't a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
